Our history

IAAS Belgrade was founded on the 16th of May 1996. at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Belgrade. It all started when the Conference od Yugoslavic Region was successfully organized in Belgrade by the former members. In the following years in 1997. and 1998. with the collaboration of Prof.Dr Marija Todorović two international summer schools were hosted in Belgrade with the topic „Renewable Energy Sources“. Around 80 students from 20 countries and 4 different continents participated. In the 1999. due to the NATO agression it was not possible to organise the third in a row summer school, but that motivated members from IAAS Belgrade even more and one of the first long distance educational programmes was launched from Yugoslavia into the world.  The third International summer school was held on the Internet.
Later during the years IAAS Serbia organised numerous exchange programmes for the students of Faculty of Agriculture in order to renew internship programmes abroad, and also provided internship programmes for the forein students in the Republic of Serbia.
Up to now IAAS Serbia hosted:

  • Sightseeing tours in Serbia and aborad

  • Internship programmes
  • Motivational weekends
  • Agricultural fairs visits
  • Charity work
  • Job fairs
  • Different projects related to the environmental protection and food wastage

What is our goal?
